Artificial Grass Installation: the full guide
A well-installed artificial lawn stays perfect all year, needs almost no work, and lasts well over a decade. The key is the base — most poor artificial lawns fail because the sub-base was rushed. Ours aren't.
Proper base preparation
We remove the existing lawn and dig down to the correct depth, then lay a compacted sub-base of Type 1 aggregate and a granite dust screed. A weed membrane prevents anything coming through from below. This is where the lifespan of the lawn is decided.
Premium grass
We use premium multi-tone artificial grasses with a realistic finish — no plasticky sheen — and options suitable for pets, children and heavy use.
Finishing
Cuts and joins are hidden, edges are secured, and a fine sand infill is brushed through to weight the lawn and keep the pile upright. The result looks and feels like a real lawn — just with no mowing, no muddy patches and no seasonal patchiness.
